Richer Sounds offer 5 year waranties for 10% of the purchase price - definitely worth paying.
Richer sounds have the only decent Warranty got it on my Hifi sep amp. It broke they replaced it. It only cost me an extra tenner I think plus if you don't use it they'll give it back to you after it runs out.

The shop cannot demand the extra payment because they mistakenly sold you a bigger TV. However, as others have said, do any manufacturers actually make 30 or 35 inch TVs? Note that the size of the TV relates to the diagonal measurment of the screen. What make and model is the TV ?

I'd like to know who makes this tv, too, because I often get customers wanting to buy a 30 or 35" tv and I only ever see and stock 26 and 32.

    Edit: and 37.

Might be a CRT, actually. Some places still do them, and many people still like them.

  • Thanks for your replies.

Actually, I was asking after a friend and do not know the exact size of the TVs in question, it was just a theoretical question. Good points made!

It is totally unfair for the shop to want to claim that money. It's a little unfair, and I think that, in reality, the shop should waiver the difference out of goodwill, the difference in price is hardly going to break their bank account.

just reverse that for a second, say you paid for a 35inch tele, the shop gave you a 30inch,
would you waiver the difference out of goodwill?
