HSBC debit card designs

Good Afternoon.

Just a quick one, when opening an HSBC plus account, do you get a choice of debit card designs or do you just have one standard design? I ask because a couple of my friends have current accounts with HSBC and have rather funky designs, however on the website and on the internet, I can't find anything anywhere that says there is a choice of design.

The standard Visa card now comes as a silver card with a white-ish image of the world. The mag strip on the back is also silver, which looks pretty cool.

The Plus and Premier cards are a similar design, but black.

All those many years ago when I had the kid's Livecash account (about 8 years ago), the card had coloured CDs in the background. Not sure if they still do a different design on children's accounts.

Whilst on the subject, does anyone know if HSBC do other chequebook designs, like Natwest's nature design? I know they are being phased out, but I still use cheques a fair bit at our archaic local takeaways and am fed up with the boring grey design.
