Windows XP Pro Question

I have XP pro and I need all the updates or at least SP2, but I want to download the updates then save to my HDD, so I can then burn to disk so I can install at a later date if I ever perform a fresh install of XP Pro?.


any links that would help, as I can only save IE6 and I cant find the links to SP2 I have forgotten where they are

ta for the link as thats the one the microsoft one I looked at that earlier and didnt bother with it (silly me) I know how to slipstream XP but I cant ghost as I aint got ghost :doh:

It costs about £30, or you can get Acronis Trueimage for about half that. Well worth it imo, saves a lot of hassle when things go pear shaped, and you have a backup..

Acronis was on offer last week I think its a ace piece of software. Autopatcher is good too

Download them from Windows Update Catalog. Add required updates to your Download basket. When done, go to Download basket and set the folder you want to download them to.
