I have XP pro and I need all the updates or at least SP2, but I want to download the updates then save to my HDD, so I can then burn to disk so I can install at a later date if I ever perform a fresh install of XP Pro?.
any links that would help, as I can only save IE6 and I cant find the links to SP2 I have forgotten where they are
Thanks

It costs about £30, or you can get Acronis Trueimage for about half that. Well worth it imo, saves a lot of hassle when things go pear shaped, and you have a backup..Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Download them from Windows Update Catalog. Add required updates to your Download basket. When done, go to Download basket and set the folder you want to download them to.kipper wrote:I have XP pro and I need all the updates or at least SP2, but I want to download the updates then save to my HDD, so I can then burn to disk so I can install at a later date if I ever perform a fresh install of XP Pro?.0
