Hi All
I am hoping somone can help...
My garden is being over taken by a bright green moss? It seem to be growing instead of the grass and has covered around 3/4 of the garden now.
We have 2 rabbits which have free run of the garden which we want kept safe but i would like a way to kill off the moss and let the grass grow back or re-seed?
I could let the bunnies have a small run in front garden for a few days if i need to treat the back but it would need to be bunny friendly.
Many Thanks

Problem is probably poor drainage but you can keep ahead of the moss with a good iron-enriched lawn sand.
Either buy a prepared concoction or perhaps try the link below for a home-made recipe.
Drainage can be helped by deep forking before the winter0 -
You could try throwing some chemicals or potion on it, but it probably just come back unless you do something to change the growing conditions. Moss like shady damp conditions normally. What's the drainage like? Is it on clay or laid over concrete or anyway like that?
On the plus side, rake the moss and use it for moisture retention in hanging baskets or pots, use it as a mulch, turn it into potting compost, or use it as a raised bed filler. I rake loads off my garage roof every now and then.0 -
You could have a style makeover to a Japanese garden. They cultivate the moss and pick out the grass.

Thanks for the help - I guess i will try to rake most of it off?
We are renting so i can not do what i want with the garden, although we are going to try to grow some veg this year in pots/boxes.
The garden is VERY wet ..... we often are invaded by frogs
