Security light 'blinking'

A bit of background first, I bought a security light from B&Q and got an electrician to install it in place of a lantern. Light was working fine until the big freeze, when ice slid off my roof it hit the light & pushed it inwards towards the wall. When i repositioned it I turned it on, the light flickered & blew.

I bought a replacement bulb & fitted this, the previous bulb was black and had completely disintegrated on one side. The light seemed to have problems from here on. It would turn on when it detected motion, stay on for the set time and then 'blink'. It swithced off for about half a second and then it turns the light back on again for the set time, and continues this in a loop. Light did this again last night & I had to go turn it off from inside. So my question, is my light goosed, or is it fixable?! Im loathe to replace it since I only got it in December, but I definately cant do without one!

Thanks for your help!

Andy

Edit: this is the security light

Once those PIR lights start playing up, replacement is normally the only option.

Get your electrician to remove it and take it back for a replacement (you still have the receipt?) or given the price just buy a new one, not worth messing about with!!
