I do have legal expences cover which I bought at the time of taking out the Car policy, however the legal expenses details are printing on 'Its 4 Me' the brokers paper! Whereas the Car Policy is with Provident! I'm a bit confused if this Legal expenses cover is with Provident or It's 4 me. I phoned the insurance company direct on their claim line to report the accident and they didn't ask about the Legal Cover!

I daughter had an accident, where someone rammed into the side of her car ..she was on the main road, other driver coming from a side road. Anyway she is with Admiral, they sorted everything for her and she was put in contact with Albany. It was all dealt with by them, the repair, car hire etc. Have no complaints at all. Very well organised and she feels much better she has her car back!! She was not to blame so no comeback.
Hope you get things sorted as quick as we did. Good luck.

At the time of the accident, my head did jerk back and as I was looking to the right (as you do on roundabouts) its the side of my neck that feels a bit stiff! I did mention it to the bloke on the phone and he said it takes 24 to 48 hours for a whiplash injury to come out and to get some ibrufen and also to let him know if I have any problems as he can put in a claim for that too!
I'm quite happy for this to be dealt with by my insurance co! I'm not sure I want to go down the route of fleecing every last penny out of the insurance company! I really just want a car to get me around in!;)
Thanks

I was just about to say that alot, if not most, whiplash injuries don't occur until often 24 hours later.0 -

Had a car go into the back of me a little while back. Car was an R reg, so it was okay, but it was getting on and had done quite a few miles (ie, far too many). Car ended up being written off and we got a decent payout for it too. Actually turned out to be a blessing in discuise, as we had intended to get new car soon...but didn't know how we were going to dispose of the old one. The problem was solved for us.
We also had an excess on our policy and as the accident was 100% the other person's fault our insurance company put some solicitors in touch with us (we had legal cover) who claimed our excess back from the other bod's insurance. This is after the car was written off and we had received a cheque for the written off amount minus the excess.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
