I hate the HMRC

This is the 6th month in a row that I have had a £100 fine from the CIS :mad:

I do my returns religiously every single month and they have never had a late payment.

Every month though, there is a different reason for them fining me. I changed to online to try and stop it, but this month they say they havent had a return at all!!! when I went online, sure enough it is there as 'pending' - but I sent it! I am sure I did!! I have no proof though!

I won't pay the fine - I am fed up of jumping through the governments hoops, being their unpaid tax collector and basically doing everything they tell me to. They can send me to prison if they like :cool:

I can understand why people go 'underground' - take all cash, dont pay any taxes and dont play by the rules - muggins here does everything by the book and gets penalised for it!

Politicians have to get their 1.5 million in expenses somehow ... from people like you and me i screw the system every chance i get now, no more Mr. play it by the poloticians laws for me. I'm doing quite well too.

Can you give me some tips on how to screw them completely?

I have spent around 20 hours in the last 6 months sorting this crap out. I might send them an invoice for £100 every time they p1ss me off!:mad:

If they owe you money, you have to wait a year or more for it. :mad:

OP, I found this on the web. Perhaps you can challenge these fines. If you've legitimately been fined six months in a row, then you're doing something wrong! If not, then why not try complaining?

I don't believe that I have legitimatelly been fined - I keep getting conflicting information from the helpline - they have received it, they havent recieved it etc.

Went online to do the last two and they still said they hadnt received it! they dropped it when I proved I had! its just wasting my time writing to them and ringing them:mad:

By complaining am I just opening myself up to all sorts?? and who would I complain to?

Are you getting penalty notices? These advise how to complain, apparently. And of course you're not inviting more trouble by complaining. It's a perfectly legitimate thing to do if you believe the fines are unreasonable. Proving it is a different matter of course...

I registered as self employed for a few months 4 years ago.

I have phoned tham and written to them numerous times and filled in many a form, but they still send me National Insurance bills. In fact I got one today saying i owe £420 and I'm still accruing more.

FOUR YEARS and thery still cant get their act together and you are complaining abouit six months. I bet I hate them more than you now - I had an investigation last year (this thread is over a year old)
