So my burke of a boyfriend took the call and signed up to their service of reclaiming PPI's etc (He has since learnt the lesson not to take these calls!!) After checking the paper work it stated that he had 14 days to cancel via telephone call or email from Jan 25th, no mention of exclusions, just a simply line "you have 14 days to cancel.. Emailed them Sat (12 days) to cancel as per their conditions. He has just rung to say they have contacted him and because it was not a working day they won't cancel it! Is this correct? Please help, I want our £299 back!!!!

Cancel again today. If they are not counting weekends in the 14 days, they must mean 14 working days...they can't have it both ways!0

Well it would appear they can! Just been talking to a Manager (he was good, I'd employ him lol!!!) and no, it's within 14 days and because they "opened" the email on day 15 we don't get it! So, despite the fact they "received" the email within 14 days they go by when they open it! The great thing is we have an email from a customer service agent saying:
We have your cancellation in writing and the pack has been sent out to yourselves in order to receive your refund we will need our pack returned in the pre-printed envelope and upon receipt of the pack we will process your refund within 7 WORKING days of receiving your pack and it may take 3-5 working days to clear depending on your bank. In order to improve our services we would appreciate if you could specify on your reasons for terminating this process.
So I have sent a reply thanking them for acknowledging the email and confirming this in writing! Lets see what happens!2013 wins: Persil Bunny0 -
They're playing a game with you hoping you will !!!!!! off and leave them in peace to spend your money (not that they actually intend to provide you with a service of course - their business model is dead & buried)
Complain to the Ministry of Justice NOW.

If you have a problem getting your money back you could try this website https://www.reclaimcentroclientreviewfees.com I believe you have to pay them a fee up front and they do not guarantee to obtain a refund but they send you a lovely free snake oil free gift0
