Pay someone to do it for you, and put it on a quality host.
If joe the plumber has a crummy homemade site, i dont care. If a COMMS company has a crummy site, no chance i will deal with them.

Well I disagree, I have just designed and built my website and had everyone pick over it and find fault until we all think it is now great!! I got the whole package from BT on a speacial offer of £2.99 per month for the first year. They have an 'easy wizard' which guides you through everything and great telephone support if you get stuck, give it a go, if I can do ti anyone can lol

£4.99 per year which I still think is good value.

I have a website built through google to advertise a property abroad. However it seems that it can no longer be updated so I think I need to start again.

Any suggestions on how I can do this for free?

    No it's this version.

When I try to go in to it, it comes up as 'recovering edit from draft', it then disconnects from internet & I have to close down explorer & open again from home page.

Sounds like a browser-related problem. Try clearing cookies or using Firefox.
