Peugeot 307 help
Hi
Ive got a 06 1600 hdi 110
the last week or so ive had a warning coming up
Diesel additive low, ive read on a few forums that the
main dealers charge anything between 500-1000 for
repairing this..
what i was wondering is this a fault that can be done
ourselves..
If so where would i get the fluid from etc.
thanks in advence for your replies

No you cant do it yourself as the FAP sensor is a complex little !!!!!!. There will be plenty of garages locally that can do it much, much cheaper.'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

Ah right ok
I read on here somewhere that you can refill the fluid yourself
the take it on a good run down the motorway at 70 mph which
clears the filter..
oh well better start saving then!!! lol
thanks

The elloys fluid can be topped up yerself. You just need to know which colour your car has. You have to jack it up on the near side to do it.0

The motorway thing works for unblocking the DPF.
The elloys fluid reservoir is located just behind the passenger side rear wheel - it's best done on a ramp though.
Most modern diesel cars have these silly DPF things whichg are great in theory, but only if the car gets driven correctly.
If you read the handbooks it will tell you to do a motorway thrash once a week to keep the DPF clear.0
