Ring the police and get a crime ref number, and if at least does it again, you have recorded first time. The person should attend the creditor meeting and see if he can get money back. Maybe worth less trouble to pay the person you owe rather than annoying them further as it might get ugly.
    Kind Regards
    Bill
  • problem is i've lost a hell of a lot and some £300 if i had it would pay a little off my arrears on the mortgage!!
  • def ring the police......and get the police to give him a caution for his/her behaviour.

hopefully this should stop them ...

could they have some sort of court order to leave you alone?

As others have said, call the old bill. If they continue to call i'd certainly be looking to make a complaint for threatening behaviour... And not waiting for him to roll up at my home address!

The company's gone, the liquidator should be handling it all. Even if the co had £300 you couldn't pay them now anyway as you can't show any preference to your co's creditors!!

I would ring the police, show them any emails/letter or any telephone call logs that you have and what threatening words he used.

You should also contact the receiver that is dealing with your debts and ask them to contact them reminding them that they cant keep contacting/harassing you.

If you did pay him, you are commiting an offence by giving preferential payments to certain creditors.

  • contacted the receiver who just said call the police if he shows!!
do i contact the 3 potential police forces one near his home my home & work?
or just the one near home?

never been in this position before & the stress is really getting to me but as nuttyp & hippyadam have correctly pointed out why should i personally pay one creditor over another even myself as another creditor !!
    thanks
  • Call the police nearest where you live, explain the situation and they will hopefully send someone over to have a quiet word with this person.
