Click energy prices, energyhelpline & uswitch
Received a letter from British Gas yesterday, advising me that the prices for Click Energy will increase from the 1st July. Why they didn't tell me before July I don't know!
Anyway, the prices (inc VAT) they now quote for economy 7 in the Midlands are:
Tier 1: 15.734p
Tier 2: 11.720p
Night rate: 2.460p
This pricing structure is different to that on energyhelpline & uswitch, both sites show tier 1 as 12.677p, a differece of 3.057p per kw. Tier 1 is charged on the first 900kw's per year making a difference to my annual bill of £27.51.
I guess the figures quoted on the BG letter are correct, it just seems strange that both switching sites are showing the same lower rate for tier 1.
I guess it's time to move back to Equipower, should save me £49.51 per year in total. Anyone know when their prices are due to increase?

There was also a discrepancy in my area before the price hike. When I asked them about this, I was told that they sometimes have special tariffs for people signing up through selected switching sites.0

Isn't there some sort of 12 month lock in as you get one month free after 12 months of connection?I think....0
