stuck on splash screen

Hoping someone here can help me.

Bought a Mesh pc couple of years ago and not really had any problems.

This morning I went to switch it on and it didnt get past the mesh splash screen at the start, didnt go as far as the bios check or anything.

I tried several times, including unplugging all usbs and ethernet cables and still no diferent. I even attempted putting a windows xp disc in on start up and see if that did anything, but no, still stuck on the mesh screen.

Anyone know what might be wrong.

Do any of the recovery options in this thread help...covers both XP and Vista (with screenshots).

To boot from the CD you may need to go into the BIOS and set the boot order. When you first boot up.. watch the screen for the key to press to get into setup. Normally it will be Del, Esc, F1 or F2.
  • I cant get to the bios at all, once I am on that splash screen nothing at all works.

It doesnt get to any of the screen shots on that thread.
  • Have you tried a different keyboard ?

do you get any beeps from the machine as it tries to start?

the beeps could make it a bit easier to try & diagnose the problem

This is one option I will try tonight when I get home.

As far as the beeps go the motherboard doesnt have any built in speakers, a friend has said he has some that we can plug into it if needs must. hopefully wont need to go that far
  • Have you tried resetting the BIOS? There may be a button or jumper on the motherboard to do this. If you are not sure, unplug the computer and remove the small motherboard battery for a few hours.
