I would recommend switching to First Direct getting the £100 and staying with them providing you are happy with the service. They are the best overall bank for a current account. Even in monetary terms you will get back the equivalent of the second £100 in a few years' time. The current offer of a free £250 overdraft and 5% on a one year regular saver, for example, is probably worth about £30 in a year.
