Recording from Adobe Flash... .

I'm trying to capture some audio from a webpage. When I right click on the embedded player it seems to suggest that it's a JW Player 4.5.230 but also gives me an 'about Adobe Flash 10' link as well. Does anyone have any (free) suggestions as to how to record from it...? Thank you!

Hi
Sometimes it's possible to download the video onto your hard drive. Then it's not difficult to separate the audio track.
Otherwise think about using a sound recorder program to record whatever is playing through your computer's sound channel.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
Thanks for the reply. To be honest, I'm not sure how to actually do either of them! With regards to the first, it's just an audio track: there's no video. Secondly how would I record my laptop's sound channel? Sorry for the slightly dim questions!0

OK
I don't know a way to download that file.
Perhaps somebody else will recommend a sound recorder program for you. The one that I have is for Linux, not Windows.
When you do record it, it will take you 49 minutes and 46 seconds. I don't think that there is a quick way, otherwise I would have done it for you.
:cool::cool:
Edit
Yes use the program recommended by tomthebomb above.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -

Thanks; I'm running Windows 7; it says it only runs up to XP - will that be okay...?0 -
I've tried to run it in compatibility mode and it says that 'component 'slrd.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid'... .
Any other suggestions?0 -
Does Windows 7 not have its own built-in sound recorder?

Firefox browser with Video DownloadHelper add-on will download it for you as an mp30

Thanks for the suggestions. Neither the Free Hi-Q nor Windows 7's sound recorder will work because my laptop doesn't have the supported recording device or something (I've followed the help files, clicked on show disabled devices and nothing has come up).
I'm trying Firefox now!0 -
Went with a quick download through Firefox and it works perfectly! Thank you so much for all of your help
