Pay £3 for a Boomerang card and get 25% off food and drink.
Went to Walkabout in Cardiff on Saturday to watch the rugby. Big signs everywhere saying Boomerang card not valid due to the rugby.
Umm, why? Probably cos basically they only want to give you a discount when it suits them and pub aint full. Nice one, Walkabout.

It states clearly in the terms and conditions-NOT available in Cardiff on matchdays.0

Many offers are to "fill up empty seats" - why would this be any different?0
-
Aren't all of these offers aimed at off-peak periods?0

Really don't see your problem, its in the T&C's, there were big signs informing you that it wasn't valid on that day.....0 -
These offers are there to entice customers in during quieter periods.
As it is a match day, they don't need to entice more customers than they already have.
Laws of marketing unfortunately. If you don't like it, you can always vote with your feet!0 -

It's also entirely possible that their license or police advice forbids them from running promotions on sporting events, although it seems that this crazy law is implemented simply at fans of the round ball game...0 -

Unfortunately, its a fact of life that the round ball game attracts more trouble amongst the fans...0 -
