    Morning all (waves weakly)

Not sure how much moneysaving I will be doing as I don't feel great, but just wanted to pop in and tell Milly that she IS good at planning - she often starts the thread and tells us all her plans for the day, which acts as a kick up the backside for the rest of us (well needed in my case!)

Awwww thank you Dawn....that's the thing though - money-wise and around the house I AM very organised and plan everythings....I have notes galore about:rotfl: But....the Uni work just brings out the procrastinator in me.....I *think* about my wor, just don't actually do much:o I have so much to do, maybe it's the fact that it's a little overwhelming now....being off work for so long, I'm brain dead;)

    Hope you feel better soon:p

  • Thank you Nicki_Sue and Jag Babe for your lovely posts!
I'm really pleased about the job although dreading not being with my baby when I go back to work. Although i might get more of a chance to finish a cup of tea at work than at home I suppose!

    Afternoon all,

congratulations on new jobs, lightbulb jolts, and good luck with essay planning!!!

I am still rough with my cough, grr. DD is horribly poorly with the nasssssty tonsils, spoke to GP this morning he is going to write to consultant to request urgent appt. Fingers crossed.

Luckily DH is on rest days today, tomorrow & weds, so he can be at home with her. I have no leave left for work. :(

    Today:

    - check online banking
    - been to work & made formal request to work 5 days a week from April (only do Mon-Thurs at the mo, the extra 5 hrs on a Friday will up my income & make things better for us all)
    - hokey cokey
    - LSD - just a few bits
    - Emailed M&S as disappointed with quality of school cardies bought in September - already faded & shapeless
    - Written a letter been meaning to for ages which hopefully will result in a financial saving
    - Younger DD to Rainbows soon and I am helping tonight (will be fun with the lovely cough :(:o)
    - Tea from leftover chicken - sweet & sour which DH will cook while I am at Rainbows :A I love him so much!!!!
    - do all comps ending 09/02 (if I dont fall asleep)
    - got a free sample of whisky through the post which DH can have as I dont like it!
    - have to do some ironing as otherwise have no shirt for work tomorrow
    - last night made all of younger DDs birthday invitations :T (we are having a party at home, lots of home party fun rather than paying silly money to hire somewhere :T)

I think thats it. Off to find some matchsticks to prop my eyes open....:rotfl:
  • hello everyone!!
    today I have:
    • got some jiffy bags to post my ebay items
    • made my sons birthday cake (which he informed me 'looks rubbish' )ungrateful little ******!!! (thinking about putting him on ebay:mad:)
    • whined and whinged in high pitched voice until DH agreed to use his car to drive us to Aldi
    • whined and whinged in a high pitched voice all the way round Aldi that Lidls is cheaper!! (this obviously didnt actually count as a money saving point, but I felt better)
    • bought cat litter in industrial amounts at pets at home
    • picked up 4 extra shifts at work for February... I dont want to do them though!!! (this is a real money saving sacrifice im making here:A)
    £2 coin challenge = 50/250 (20% there)

Hi all - well done on your job irishmist!
Hi Dawn - nice to see you, but sorry you're poorly x

    1) Worked this morning
    2) Paid money into mine and OH's bank accounts
    3) Received my Approved Food order - I now have a house full of naughty food!
    4) Hokey cokey
    5) Popped into the charity shop near the bank. Bought T a Next hoody and Gap jeans, and a brand new Fatface handbag for me. :j
    6) I e-mailed a company to see if they would buy a huge stash of mags that I have had since the 90s. They say no though. Maybe I will ebay them instead.
    7) All meals from stores.
    8) Checked banking, quidco and did SC etc
    9) Read paper online instead of buying it.
    10) Bought T some new school uniform from M&S using a giftcard I had for my birthday. He has been there for just a term and a half and already grown out of it.

Can't think of much else. Have a funky monday, L x
