exemption fees

Hi,

I want to file a claim for penalty charges applied to a credit card, and was wondering if I can be exempt from paying court fees (exd160 d form) if I am on contribution based job seekers allowance?

Reading the guidance on the form it seems a little unclear.

Any help appreciated.

As your are not in receipt of one of the five stated benefits (which themselves are means tested), you are not guaranteed fee remission, but you may be entitled to fee remission either in full or in part based on means testing.

My earnings were over the 14k that they said for this financial year, so I guess I would have to wait until April to apply under this??
