Hi everyone,
Firstly i hope i've posted on the right board?
Ok I bought a smasung tocco lite just after christmas and the past few days i've been getting an error message when i plug it in to the pc, 'usb device not recognized' i've tried different usb slots and a usb adaptor and keep getting the same message.
My phone is charging through the usb cable but i can't connect to the samsung pc suite. do you think it could be i need a new cable or it could be my phone? i'm not sure as it still charges through the usb???
Thank you

Hiya, it's xp and yes i got a cd with it, i've tried installing and reinstalling the pc suite but it didn't work0

Have you looked for a newer version of the PC suite software on the Samsung website?
Is there any message displayed on the phone's screen when you attach it? Some phones display a message because they need to switch to a different mode. Also, what happens if you plug the phone in when it is switched off - does it start to turn on and try to connect?0 -
I used to have a tocco, not a tocco lite but I'm sure there would be many similarities.
In Menu mode, select Settings → Phone settings → PC connections → Samsung PC
studio → Save.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0 -
Hi again, it's just took me ages to try and install the suite again, it's finally loaded but now does not recognize the device, error message 'no response from the device because it is in initializing stage after booting' i tried the phone off and turned it back on and has been on for ten mins?0

Sounds like a pin on the cable. Have you tried connecting via bluetooth. If you don't have bluetooth on your pc you can buy an adapter here from Amazon for £2.25 inc shipping . I bought one for my Tocco Lite. Works great and is much easier than keep connecting the cable.0 -
Thanks i will try bluetooth and order one now.
Will have to dig out the wall charger as i've always just charged through the usb0
