  • Evening all

Managed to get a fair bit done after college tonight already! Also managed to catch up with the thread again

Sexymouse – big hugs to you, hope your feeling better tomorrow

Piggers – well done on the overdraft and I’m sure you’ll fine something to do with the money saved!
Also I agree with you with weetabix cake mushiness, that’s probably the only thing I have tried on OS and not really enjoyed!
Greenbee, WTG on the weightloss and the determination to do the 10,000 steps.

So I have managed to prepare chicken casserole for the slow cooker for tea tomorrow, as well as declutter a fish finger sandwich (DH has DSS on Tuesdays so I fend for myself – CBA to do anything other than junk food), and a reduced chocolate mousse muffin

Before the declutter I did manage to cross somethings off todays list though

oh there are more of us round here...;)

I have just spent an hour doing a mail merge for my parents evening appointments
(I KNOW IT'S ADMIN BUT IF I DON'T DO IT...)
just to keep my hand in and to see if I could, on this new office.
next time it will be MUCH quicker ;)

So they are getting neatly typed slips with legible date, time and child's name on *glow* instead of the not very roomy slips with no space to write that I usually have to use.

Usually there's a line about 3cm long for me to scrawl the date and time in. Now they look very impressive! Appropriate really, what with me being the ICT co-ordinator and school boffin LOL

  • Hello! We are here at my parent's house, looking after it while they are away - oops, that reminds me, must water the orchids! Mum text me earlier and I haven't done it yet. DH has fed the birds tho so they all love him now!
We are having a lovely time. On Sunday we went to see our friends who live in the middle of the Ashdown Forest, and had a good old chin wag. They are both v depressed so had a weep, and then we showed them lots of funny things on youtube, and then sat down to have a huge roast dinner. They were given all the meat from a pig when they got married and are still eating it! It was the most delicious pork I've ever had! PenPen, it made me think of you, Crackling will be delicious, so much nicer than supermarket pork!
Yesterday we didn't do much, I slept in till 11! Must have done me good though as my cold is almost gone now! We watched the new Star Trek film (sooo good, and has Chris Pine in it!), and then went and did a big shop at Tesco. I got a new necklace (which is falling apart all ready so I need to return it before we go home) and some heart shaped cake tins which I'll be keeping all my threads and sequins in, so that should make home a lot tidier (this is the flying bit, about how nice and organized I will be at home).

Today we went for a walk at Wakehurst Place with my Dandan and some of our friends who are staying at my grandparents house this week. My Nanny was poorly so couldn't come :( but we still had a lovely time altho we missed her. They have a photographic exhibition right in the middle of the garden! It was absolutely fab! http://www.igpoty.com/competition02/winners.asp Link to it if you are interested!
We walked quite far, and had to climb a hill at the end which had me puffing like a steam engine! I started to feel embarrassed at how out of breath I was for ages after, especially as I was with 3 people in their late 70's who didn't bat an eyelid at the climb! I felt wonderful after the walk and am going to try to get DH to go for another walk with me tmrw.

Went to the shop I used to work in on the way back, it was so lovely to see everyone! Our shopping trip took about three times as long because I was busy chatting to everyone! DH just went off and sat on a bench in the end and left me to it!

Going to go and catch up on a bit of the thread now, not sure how much I will be able to read as the screen here is a bit funny and makes the writing tiny!

Love and hugs to all, especially Lady Liberty and Diva

More flying will be done this evening: emptying and loading DW, and watering orchids. We've also done two loads of washing so far, and I've been trying to keep things tidy as we go along, although I spilt a million sequins on the floor upstairs and need to go and pick them all up!

Ahhh, that's how everyone does it!!!!!! :T:T:T When I've got about 5 pages to read, I scribble notes on a piece of paper, but by the time I get to type it all up, none of it makes any sense anymore, so I lazily type "and hugs to everyone" and any specifics I remember!

Now I can be a bit more thoughtful about it!

Thank you so much - that's now officially the most useful post of my day!!!:)

could you put a loose fitting pop sock inside the end of the hoover hose (so it forms a sort of cup type bit when switched on) and sook them all up that way?
