    Thanks for the PM Kilty, I will avoid them! I've decided that I'm definetly going to go with an approved dealer, as at least them I'll have some comeback if something goes wrong, and I'm going to get an AA man out to inspect it. That way at least someone who knows about cars will given it the once over. Unfourtanely I don't have any friends who are car savvy (one guy I know went into a dealership, choose a car he liked the look of, and just paid the asking price without even taking it for a test drive). Luckily I'm not in a huge hurry to buy something so I keep looking until I see something which is right for me.
