Who are you paying your rent to and do they allow credit card payments in the first place? Otherwise it's a moot point. The 2% fee is the merchant fee that the card company charge the merchant.
If the rent company have a PDQ machine and will process it as a purchase then you're laughing. They may add the merchant fee to the amount of payment they take from you."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Thanks for the quick replies...
Well, i am paying rent to a letting agency. I typically pay into their bank account online using my debit card.
Do i have to check with the letting agents whether they will accept my credit card for payment? I can make physical swipe from letting agencies office every month. It is viable from logistical point of view. OR is there a smarter option?0 -

Yes, you need to check with them. They either swipe your card each month or you give them permission to retain your details and set up a CPA .... I'd go with the swipe
