Ikea and delivery

Need to buy a couple of stuffs from Ikea and do not have a car. Does any body know how much they charge to deliver small items? Is it possible to carry these items on a bus & train in Greater London, it weighs 6 kgs?

Their delivery charges are extortionate, stating from £20ish going up the further away you live from the store, a taxi would probably be cheaper depending how far away you are. For just those 2 boxes I wouldn't bother with delivery, at 6kg they're not that heavy if you take 2 people then you can carry one each and I wouldn't have though they'd be a problem on a bus, I've seen people with stranger things on buses!

Do you have a wheeled suitcase or little suitcase trolley? Two of those should fit inside/on one easily, & would be easier to manage on your own.
