Just in case people get the wrong idea (my emphasis in bold)
Mozilla admits Firefox add-ons contained Trojan codeMozilla has issued a warning that two add-ons available from AMO (addons.mozilla.org, the Mozilla Add-ons website) were infected by malicious code capable of infecting Windows computers. According to a security notice on AMO's blog, the Master Filer add-on was infected by the LdPinch password-stealing Trojan, and Sothink Web Video Downloader version 4.0 was infected by a version of the Bifrose backdoor Trojan horse.0 -
To be more precise - two add ons have been found to contain a trojan.
Firefox itself is ok.0 -
Beat me to it!
Great minds think alike :rotfl:0 -
I have often worried that the add ons could contain dodgy code especially the grease monkey add on scripts...thanks for posting that and thank you to the person that added on the other bit to clarify the situation
i did notice on that site that "Emails which claim that pictures of Gordon Brown smiling can infect your PC with a virus have been widely distributed via email."
personally any mp smiling must be treated with suspicion.
back to the original subject, IE still has that exploit, firefox add ons arent being checked thoroughly and google chrome has "dodgy" privacy issues.....theres not much to choose between really0 -

O what can we do?Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0
