Coat with paint on after night out, what to do?

Not sure if this is in the right place, feel free to move it!
My daughter went out last night in her fairly new black coat. Went to a bar / club in town, took her coat off and put it behind her against the wall. When she put it on again, realised it was covered in patches of what looks like white paint.
She's not the confrontational sort so didn't speak up at the time, how do you think we should approach it now? I'm thinking maybe take photos of the coat and send them an email asking for the cost of the coat? No receipt now though.
Not sure whether we should have a go at fixing it first, possibly white spirit or something, but any other ideas for removing paint welcome!

depends on the paint, whether its emulsion or a gloss/eggshell.
I would give the bar a ring and explain the situation i.e. no sign up saying 'WET PAINT'
Say you are prepared to send them photos if required.
Initially I would just ask them to pay for the dry cleaning, that might be all it takes ( go to a GOOD dry cleaners) I wouldn't fancy your chances of getting them to cough up for a replacement without at least trying to get the marks out2016: No Clutter to Be Seen 805/2016

Was it wet paint, do you think, or did it just rub off onto the coat?Signature removed for peace of mind0
