thanks blue monkey
I appreciate you taking time to give me tips on booking flights. I will have a play around with it.0 -
Hi Lurker, did you find anything??
I got my confirmation today and thought I would break it down. Also checked Flights on VA today and the same ones we are going on were now priced at £2269 and had gone up again since I last looked this time last week. I was wrong about the weekend flight supplement though, I got a little one.
Prices are totals:
4 x V room passes £54
4 x ATOL protection £10
4 x Weekend Flight Supplement £80
4 x Weekend Flight Supplement £80
4 x Fuel APD & Tax £808
Car Hire £25
Excursions £560
2 x Adult Fare £888
2 x Kids Fare £488
Online Booking discount -£217.50
Total £2786.30
So, for a £510 more than had we just bought flights on VA website we got all our park tickets, V-room, Virgin Express and HPW Bonus. Really very happy with the way it worked out as we was desperate for the breakfast and HPW bonus, LOL. That is all we wanted!!!! I know, just a tad sad.0 -
For anyone still looking to book, try Jetsave through Thomsons. We went with them in November, got virgin flights, disney 14 day tickets, transfers and 17 nights in hotel b&b for £2100 2 adults 1 child. Hotel was v. basic but they had lots of others if you wanted any better- we weren't bothered as it was excellent location and we spent most of the time in Disney anyway!0

That is an amazing price CB you did very well there.
If you still want to stay in Disney you could call and get the above deal just for the flights and tickets (our Disney tickets cost almost 1k for 4 of us) and just skip the B&B. You'll have transfers and food with Disney and then you could then sell the 'spare' tickets you get with Jetsave when you get there and get some money back too.
Did you have a good time? Did you see the Xmas lights in MGM? I've seen them once, they are amazing. I hope they are there when we go. They came on 9th last year so it should be 10th this year..... fingers crossed.0 -

Thanks to this site saved over £3000 -

No, that includes the B/SW/A and 2 park bonus tickets (Universal). You have to book the bonus ticket with Virgin to get the Harry Potter World Freebie though.
Disney tickets have been booked through the WDW website so we could get free dining (you have to buy the ticket to get free dining). For the accomodation and tickets we paid £954 for one bed apartment and Free Dining Plan and Tickets were £996.
You can buy tickets alone from the WDW website and they give you some free extras like crazy golf game and preferential viewing at Epcot and MK.
It is all a tad confusing... LOL, but you just have to do it to get the best deal.0 -
We were at Disney Magic Kingdom on the 3rd Nov, they had the Halloween decs up, the next day at Hollywood Studos it was Christmas trees! Couldn't believe how quickly they can change it! It was fab and we want to live there. Forever. With the princesses.0

Oh and Disney tickets were £500 on the dot for the 3 of us- we found the best price on the internet then asked Thomsons to price match.
Jetsave had really good prices in the brochure, rang them up and they improved, then got Thomsons to ring and check and they improved again! Definately worth trying if you're after a bargain deal.0 -
Good price clarabella,
Have to confess that we wanted the Dining Plan otherwise I'd have probably booked elsewhere. You cannot get free Dining if you do not book the tickets and accomodation together so for us it was worth it. We paid £996 for 4 x 21 day Ultimate tickets.
Would also probably booked the tickets for Universal on Expedia because of the good cashback but desperately wanted the HPW bonus.
If we can get my son in the water before we go then we will go to to Discovery Cove but it is not worth it if he refuses to swim. We'll book those via Expedia as there is 12% cashback on Experiences.0 -
OP, great grabbit! I have to say that the Animal Kingdom villas are fab!! We're DVC members (only signed up last year whilst on honeymoon!) and next year I want to stay at Animal Kingdom. We're going to to Disneyland (world? I get confused!) California this August and cannot wait! First time
Def shop around for good flight prices - they do seem to fluctuate daily!
Have a magical time0
