Refurb garage - advice on roof and windows please

Hello peeps,
we are going to replace the leaky roof on our old but structually sound prefab garage around April time.
For roofing material I am planning on using 25mm thick, 6M X 1M polycarbonate sheets.
If you don't know how the windows are secured in a prefab garage, I will try and explain - the concrete posts have metal plates that when vertical do not hold anything in, but if you loosen off the nut and turn the plate horizontal it then holds the window in place - so it should be easy enough to get the old ones out......
The window openings measure 111CM X 69cm
Now would I be best to get purely a sealed unit with no frame, and just batten it out from the inside with some wood?
Or am I best to get a sealed unit with a white PVC Frame, and possibly not need any battening from the inside?
I guess my slight concern is that if the frame is too deep, it might stick out beyond the metal securing plate on the concrete pillars.
Anyone else done this on a garage??
Also, whateve route I choose, how would you recommend creating a seal between the glass or frame and the garage - I assume a bit old bead of silicone sealant?
And can anyone recommend any suppliers please, I will try some local suppliers, at the moment the best we have found is a website called www.windowsanddoors.co.uk - any comments on these people??
The door opening measures 113cm wide by 211cm high, and the current door size is 84cm X 188CM high.
Any recommendations of the best place to find a door and frame.....?
Many thanks
Dan

Why are you proposing to waste money on double glazing an unheated garage. Or do you use it for hobbies or suchlike.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Ummmm, well mostly for security, ie it's a fairly big opening, and we have a second car in there as well as several fairly high value bicycles, and tools etc
We also have a turbo trainer in there (Cycling indoors on a bike for those who are not aware), and once made watertight will move an elliptical trainer fitness machine in there too.
It did occur to me after posting, that as we were thinking of using frosted glass, why not just use the same material we are using for the roof - what do you think?
My GF has found an online place that does double glazed sealed units with frames for approx £67 each, and we need 5 of them, so that would be around £330.
I could slash the price if I used some polycarbonate sheeting, but is this a major seurity weakpoint??
Any other suggestions of what we could use??
Cheers

ut is this a major seurity weakpoint??
Same stuff as the roof ? so your roof has a seurity weakpoint ?
Double glazed windows seem a bit of luxury in a garage.
( but saying that
mine are . But its just too match the rest of the house.) 0 -
generally, i would just use plain wooden frames with wired glass.Get some gorm.0
