Hunters list

Despite having excellant credit scores from experien and equifax, Barclays Bank wont let me open up a bank account. I cannot get credit anywhere. I recently applied for a mortgage using a financial advisor and he made a mistake on the application form, the building society refused the mortgage as a result of the error. I have banked with Barclays for 30 years as a premier customer and only needed to open a new account because I was married recently. I have been told that there is nothing I can do as there has been a marker placed on my file? by the Building Society and that I am on a hunters list. Can someone tell me what this is and what can I do about it?

Maybe NID will confirm how long N Hunter keep data for...i suspect it is 6 years...however i dont see the point of them keeping data for 6 years if they would to use it to compare to previous applications.0
