Leeks and daffodills

Every year my son's school have a competition in end of Feb/beginning March. They got to make a daffodil (paint, draw, use craft stuff) and dress a leek(make it into a famous person/thing).
It's a Welsh thing I guess.
I'm hoping you creative ladies got some ideas for me coz after doing it for the last couple of years I'm running out.

Daffodil... uhmmm.... how about some orange fanta cans and making the petals from the coloured side of the tin? Or/and a Irn-Bru large 2 litre bottle... cut the shapes from that? Recycling and all that

I have nothing to help you but this reminded me of a joke I played on my husband. He got home from work and I shouted to him there was a serious leek in the kitchen. He rushed in to find a leek on the side with serious face drawn on him!!!!!!!!! He was not amused but I laughed about it for quite some time!!!:P

Edited to say - you could do Tommy Lee(k) the rocker. Draw on tattoos and give him a baseball cap and jeans and peircings!
