I recently received a letter from FOS stating that RBS have upheld my complaint and will be in touch in due course to offer me a settlement figure. This was for a credit card which I struggled to pay a few years ago and resulted in being passed to several debt collectors which I finally paid off at a reduced amount in Nov 2007. The debt collectors reduced the amount by about £600 and my question is - Will this amount be taken into consideration in my settlement figure or by that point was it nothing to do with RBS? Hope that makes sense. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hi there and well done.

To what I know of, if any arrears, then its refunded to them and anything remaining should come back to you, but this may vary from one back to te other, good luck.:);)
