Here's a news article that will interest anyone that hates waiting in for their parcels to arrive -

This could turn out to be quite an important development in the industry, if it works. It looks like it could be very difficult to implement and there are lots of things that could go wrong. It would be interesting to hear from any DPD staff out there as to how this will actually work.

Looks a good idea, this has been a long time coming though, could be hard to stick to the 1 hour time slot due to traffic etc,

Doesn't actually say they give you the details at the time of ordering though, just that you'll receive an SMS/email. So if they don't send the text till the day of delivery it won't be very useful

I guess that system will only work if you give the company your ordering from your mobile phone number!
