Ive just bought mine from ebay, after searching shops to find nothing, I saw this at the weekend and loved it right away. Just hoping it looks good on me, although I know its going to need altering as Im typical pear shape and my boobs dont add up to much.

Cant get pic to load for some reason but it was gorgeous - so much so I now am starting a business from them as I also hire chair covers so offering a find it for less service - show me a pic of what you like and I will find it for you at a price you can afford!

Mine is based on this. I only found 2 stockists in the UK, both miles away, and at nearly £3000 there was no way I could afford it. So have found a local dressmaker who is making me something similar for £400 plus material. I am having latte colour duchess satin underneath to match in with DF brown suit and I got some very heavy Alencon lace for a bargain on e-bay. All told, including custom made petticoat it will have cost me £650.

My dress is a Alfred Angelo and cost me 475 I will post a picture when I get one

was just wanting to see who else got a nice bargain price on their dress and what its like

    Hi Shel,
can you please advise where you got your dress from? I have seen several Alfred Angelo dresses on his website that I adore HOWEVER there are no prices and I just assumed that they were ridiculously expensive - but £475 is manageable - any help would be most appreciated.

Size 14, Ivory -if anyone has one to sell etc - preferably halter neck
    Thanks!
    Steff ;)

Some lovely dresses on here. I particularly like the short 50s style ones.

My OH's dress was very expensive and far more than we originally wanted to pay. But it was the only dress she ever tried on that felt like the one. She spent weeks searching preloved/ebay for second hand versions but with no luck. So we contacted all of the stockists within a 100 mile radius and haggled the price down. Offset the cost by cutting out chair covers and some other touches that we were not bothered about and finally sold the dress straight after the wedding. So even though the dress was an expensive outlay, we only ended up paying a couple of hundred pounds in the end. We worked out that this was worth it for us but obviously not everyones cup of tea. Plus it only really worked for us as we had a short timescale between buying the dress and getting married so the dress was still current season/in demand/and difficult to get hold of second hand.

You managed to haggle down the price of an Ian Stuart gown from a stockist?
