I have just seen this one and think it is absolutely gorgeous. Can't believe the price though - too good to be true?!

Why's that Shel, you've had a bad experience?

Very similar to this one from Romantica. Bought two years ago so can't find an exact pic. Cost £600 i think.

I just typed a huge response to you then my DD logged me out whilst mid flow, so I'll have to do it again!
The gist of it all was, this dress looks nice and yes, seems to be from a chinese manufacturer. My advice to you would be start a new thread to ask if anyone has bought from this seller before? Also check out their feedback (which seems pretty solid)
Also, look at the Landy thread on here (it will take you a week but worth it!)There are LOADS of opinions/ pieces of advice / pros and cons etc etc, so a very worthwhile read.
This forums resident dressmaker (if she doesnt mind us calling her that ;)) 'lindaatno9' is great for impartial advice - she's made quite a few comments on the Landy thread too!
My personal experience is with Landy, who made a Jenny P style slinky dress in ivory silk, from a pic I sent them. The dress is gorgeous, fits like a glove - the only blip is instead of the vintagey silver beading / jewels they added lilac beading and jewels!! To be fair to them, the pics I sent weren't the best and the detail did look silvery lilac! They have apologised and are re-doing the beading as I type. I'll update you when I get the dress back, but I have to say they've been very good about it.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

    Hels :)

This will be from china, and you are looking at the orginal designers pictures. It is a case of 'pay what you get', yes you will get a copy of that dress, but it WILL be a copy and will probably not have the same level of structure or detailing. However if this is what your budget dictates you can get then fine, just be aware of the limitations that the price will give. I prefer to spend time looking on Ebay for dresses as often you can get a worn once orginal for a similar price of the china copy!

This is mine. I'm having a few amendments to it done at the mo. I'm taking off the lace around the waist and putting an ivory sash on, replacing the buttons and putting a panel in the back so you can't see skin where it ties up. Although it fits me better than the person in the picture :rotfl:

I would like to know opinions though and I won't be offended if you don't like it :)

Picked mine yesterday, finally. The ladies in the shop panic when I say its 6 months 2 weeks away, and they're thinking 'thats only 2 weeks for alterations, thats not much time!'
