How to get free/cheap credit for a couple of months

We're planning on getting some work done in our garden and it will clear out our readily available savings. The work will be complete in about 5 or 6 weeks time. I don't yet know if they'll take payment by credit card. We could of course postpone the work but I'm keen to have it all done in time for spring.

I can withdraw more savings but this will require 3 months notice. The money won't be available until early May. So after paying for the garden work we'll need to survive 2 months with no available savings.

We should manage to stay in the black unless any unexpected bills come up (which is reasonably likely at the moment as we've got a lot on).

If we do run into problems is there a way to get free/cheap credit to tide us over? We're self-employed so I'm not sure how easy it will be to get a new credit card and transfer our balance. Are there any other options we should consider? We have a £1000 authorised overdraft with our bank - is this typically an expensive way to get credit?

Thanks in advance for any tips.
