Has anyone worked for Chocolates for Chocoholics?

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of Chocolates for Chocoholics? I like their products and was interested in working as a distributor for them, but was wondering if there is a large outlay involved? Thank you :)

  • I've never worked for them but I've been to a few parties, love the chocolate and it's reasonably priced. The lady running the party did say she has a lot of chocolate deliveries so needs to keep them in a cold room sobthey don't melt before she delivers them. I think I'd be tempted to eat it!
As for start up costs I don't know sorry.
    Jan 2010 - Overdraft £9,500 / Credit Cards £5,000 / Loan £9,500 / Mortgage £128,000
    Jun 2010 - Overdraft £0 / Credit Card £0 / Loan £0 / Mortgage £125,250
    Oct 2011 - Overdraft £7,000  / Mortgage £115,295
    Dec 2014 - Overdrafts 15,000 / Credit Cards 16,000 / Loans 25,000 / Cars 18,000 / Mortgages 232,500
  • Aw, thanks for replying. I know, all that chocolate does sound a bit tempting! Have no idea about the start-up cost, hopefully someone on here will come along that knows.
    Thanks again :D

I already did email them to ask and I received a reply saying that I should call them, as there "was a lot to explain". I'd rather know upfront if there is a large outlay involved before I telephone them.
  • I don't work for them, though I'm tempted. When I enquired last year I think there was a small outlay though can't remember how much. They ask you to go to an induction event, over a weekend at their head quarters. You are required to stay overnight but they do reimburse you, They say you will need quite a bit of space to prepare you're orders once they have been delivered to you and a cool place to store them as the previuos post says. I'd love to do it but husband can be away for months at a time so wouldn't get to many parties! Busiest times are obviously Easter and Christmas. The lady I spoke to said I could expect to do parties most nights in October/November. Give them a buzz really friendly and no hard sell. Hope that helps:-)

    Hi

I was a Chocolate for Chocoholics distributor for 8 years. Previous poster got it a bit wrong, no outlay for staying overnight if attending the training session.

The only outlay you have is the cost of your kit, price is discounted by 22.5% and if you meet target and do £15k sales at Xmas then you get a further 27.5% so effectively your kit is sold to you with a 50% discount.

Xmas season starts towards the end of September with the launch at the beginning of Sep, your kit check is post dated to around 1st November to give you chance to start making some money.

Everything else in the way of brochures bags etc are free. You would need to purchase stickers for your brochures but thats pretty much it.

Sales my first Xmas were £23k, my best was £42k and that is a heck of a lot of chocolate to shift. Its not something you can do half heartedly.
Can be really good fun but can also be a pain in the butt, the general public can be a pain in the butt. On the other hand you meet some fabulous people.

If you want more info or have questions feel free to pm me
    £2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

    Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz
