Does anybody do mystery shopping?

Here's a typical Mystery Shopper "bravado" claim
Yes you CAN get to those places:
I've been to Jamaica, New York, Chicago, Durham Tees  mostly Business and sometimes First Class
BUT
You have to have a good score and 20 jobs under your belt to be even considered:-along with 100's of others. It's hardly "if you want"
You will pay for these trips as the "allowance" is minimal.
Both reports are lengthy and the proof readers picky
They are not a regular occurence (30 jobs per 3 months shared between 1500 applicants.)
Didn't know that Prostitution was a Mystery shopping scenario
Seriously
Specialised (read very rare and you have to be in the "clique") jobs can get you this kind of money:- But you have to work hard and long for it and be in a unique position to get offered them.
Kudos if you are there
The majority of newbies will never get there.
I disagree that it is bravado, perhaps not as expanded as it should have been,
Last summer I did make that quite gularly, but yes, by god did I put the hours in to do to do it and no I didnt need to sleep with any one,,, although Im sure that would have been far less effort for greater reward given the total number of hours lol
Yes you can , as you have said, travel to those places.
Flights are free, minimal allowance but can offer the opportunity to go to places you wouldnt ordinarily perhaps go to. Yes not offered to everyone, and yes I have had the opportunity. I do have a good score, I have done a high number of jobs (car circuits help ensure that) I also have my own covert video equipment which is how I get higher paid jobs, I also have multiple clients I cover 4-5 times a month for reasonable pay.and wouldnt certainly consider myself to be in a clique of any sort.
Ive dont more than my share of burger, chicken and pizza jobs to get there, and now I only do visits for 3-4 companies unless there is a filler job on the way. I also choose to do jobs that suit me more, rather than take everything going for the sake of it.
I also have no family commitments and have flexibility to near enough cover jobs 24/7 nationwide/global (provided costs are covered !)
Hope that puts things in to perspective, I agree newbies wont get offered much for a while, if at all, and as I stated in my original post, its not a get quick rich scheme.
Rewards come with hard work and not always making a profit on everyjob ! Most people wont have the time or flexibility to cover the amount/type of work I do.0
