When choosing your photographer make sure you see sample pictures from the person who is actually going to be at your wedding. Sample pics in a display window, or on a web site, may have been "bought in" from the real professionals or bought from an agency. It's a common practice.

seriously? thats shocking. thanks for letting me know i will ask any we speak to.

  • I've been at 2 weddings over the last 18 months where this guy was the photographer and gave a good impression. As you suggested he didn't seem to have people constantly posing but still managed to capture lots of natural shots. I've no idea what his prices are like as neither brides were close friends however may be worth investigating

  • Hi
Im sure lots of people are biased about their own wedding photos but i loved mine!
They were done by Suzanne Hodgson, her comapnys website is: www.naturalweddings.net
You also get all the images on disc and ownership of the copyright so no issues with getting your own reprints, canvases etc done.
We had the love package. I think we paid around £800 +VAT although that was five years ago. She does have other similar packages with less photos for a much lower rate.
Also, she was very non-instrusive. I think the standard 'posed' photos that we got with the full wedding party, families etc. took about twenty minutes. The rest of the day we just carried on as normal as she captured it all perfectly. (I did warn you at the start I was probably biased :rotfl:)

Hope you find what you are looking for.

(PS our wedding was in Bothwell and she does cover this area)

I have to say we had the complete opposite from this company ( i think they have several photographers, so we may have just been unlucky) and our photographs were shockingly bad, we even had ones which were blurry and overexposed. I cried they were so bad, everyone looked all blotchy skinned, just dreadful. Then the guy ordered us out of his house for complaining!

On the plus side, we had a second photographer there who was just getting into weddings so was looking to practice, he was fabulous and now does it full time and has done several of our friends weddings. Can't recommend him enough ( he did save the day for us)
