apparently im not being pro active enough about my wedding next year,so i thought it might be a good idea to ask on here for MSE wedding photographer recomendations.
im getting married in wishaw and the reception will be near cumbernauld,so a photographer in and around glasgow/central belt would be good.
ive seen a few prices and all seem to be over £1000 (seems to be a popular price when you mention the word wedding),so a good quality photographer who doesn't charge an arm and a leg would be good aswell.
all web links greatly appreciated.:)

Most wedding togs these days seem to have an online portfolio to give a "feel" of their photographic style. A lot seem to specialise in the less formal "reportage" style as well as the more formal stuff. I quite like the look of medium format shots (eg Hasselblad, Maniya etc) but this will probably cost more than DSLR only production. Make sure you see how good the hardcopy prints are as web will mainly show style rather than the technical quality of the prints themselves.0

my photographers £75 for 2 hours and 25 unedited shots, more if u want more pictures/editing but nowhere near £1000 pm me if you want his details hes not a professional wedding photographer, hes a sports photographer who wants to get into doing weddings so is looking to build his portfolio so its cheaper than a pro as long as he can use some of your shots to show off to other people0

thanks, i have noticed this, some look great on screen but actual prints don't look to clever. i would like, well i mean she would like the apparently " must have pictures" of family, wedding party, but i don't want everyone having to pose all day, i would be happier for the photographer to just lurk about in the background taking pictures of folk enjoying themselves. rather than the text book wedding album....work permit granted!0 -

When choosing your photographer make sure you see sample pictures from the person who is actually going to be at your wedding. Sample pics in a display window, or on a web site, may have been "bought in" from the real professionals or bought from an agency. It's a common practice.0
