Shell/Citi/Drivers Club points transfer

I keep finding the Shell/Citi/Drivers Club changes rather confusing and i found an old statement and noticed (yes after all those years) that i had a lot less points then expected and i recieved this reply off them.Fair enough i have to take some blame, but what i find annoying is that the points arn't automatically transferred.Has anyone managed to get a goodwill transfer of points?

Thank you for your correspondence regarding the Shell Drivers’ Club.

We regret that we are no longer able to transfer Pluspoints over to clients’ new Shell Drivers' Club accounts and sympathise with your situation.

However, we would like to point out that following the Pluspoints schemes' demise on the 10th May 2007, all customers were given two months to redeem their Pluspoints and twelve months to transfer their Pluspoints in line with the Pluspoints terms and conditions.

    Hi,
    When I have had any problems with my drivers club account e.g. missing points etc. I usually get a similar reply to the one you had sorry are unable to do anything, however everytime that this has happened I have sent a reply to the email talking about how unhappy I am with the response and that in the current climate customer retention is of great importance so if they don't comply so to speak I will go elsewhere and every time that I have done this the problem has been sorted as well as getting some extra points as goodwill :-)
