Just the plain stuff - B and Q don't stock it, IKEA used to but not any more. Found a couple of places online but I need such a small quantity that it works out really expensive.

Have you tried your local window manufacturers? Ours was supplied by ADS which I think are a South West company.0

If you manage to get it on your window smoothly will you let me know how, I ve put it on my bathroom window and its got bubbles in it every time!
I know B & Q do a great range, at least in the store near me.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely

Focus and most of the other DIY shops do it as well. Trick to getting it on smoothly is to make up a solution of soapy water in a spray bottle (just a good squirt of washing-up liquid) and spray the window all over, but not absolutely soak it - just a thin layer. Peel off the top inch of backing from the film, stick the film to the window, and continue peeling off the backing as you move down the window, smoothing as you go. It will look cloudy for a couple of hours till it's dry, but then it should be clear and bubble-free.0

Thanks for the tips - I asked a BandQ drone specifically for the stuff last night and was told they don't sell it!! Gnash teeth and mutter."When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes" - Erasmus0

The trade name is Fablon, and the frosted version is called Decroglaze. It's also called sticky-back plastic (shades of Blue Peter) or sticky-back vinyl. Focus have 3 patterns available: http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/bin/venda?ex=co_wizr-xapian&threshold=50&bsref=focus&searchfld=&searchpage=&searchinvt=1&searchstry=0&searchlike=1&srchopt=V&itemsperpage=10&searchex=decroglaze0

I've used a mail order company Etch-fx who were great. Good product, easy to use and excellent result. etchfx.co.uk.0
