Unable to access sd card

Ive got a micro sd card inserted into a usb device but as the sd card isnt formatted i cant open thye card to remove whats on the card to then format it. Anyone not any ideas as to how i can copy whats on the card, am i stuffed in terms of not being able to copy whats on the card. What i didnt do was format the card when i got it so i bet thats why i cant access it

    where did the sd card came form , if a phone then you should be able to connect the phone and remove whats on it

    SD cards are usually preformatted. Try running some disk repair software.

    i didnt know they usually come pre formatted, ok so which disk repair software would you recommend

    it was used with a certain handheld games console, i could try the phone idea but my phone takes the m2 card and not the micro sd, i was able to write to it at 1 point
