How to repair a tap ?

My tap is leaking in the middle (see pic) i presume its a washer or something ?
How the heck do i change the washer or stop it leaking ? i cant fathem out how to dismantle it !

Firstly you need to remove the tap head. Under the hot/cold indicator(plastic thing @ the front);) there will be a alan type grub screw. Turn that anti-clockwise a few turns. You should then be able to pull the tap head off. Then unscrew the crome shield to access the body.A thankyou is payment enough .0

Got it all to bits, seems one of the washers may have gone inside the ceramic disk or elsewhere, going to get a new tap off Ebay they are only £12 for a brand new one delivered, the old one looks a bit worn anyway

You can get replace cartridges for the tap. I have 2 in my van at the mo, as always replacing them.A thankyou is payment enough .0 -
Tried a new cartridge and still leaking, its one of the washers inside thats gone, going to get a new tap anyway, we have had a new kitchen installed and i was a tightwad and used the existing tap and sink

They are ideltical to the ones in Homebase at £50 , would it last longer if i paid £50 instead of £12 for an identical tap LOL0

Cant be 100% until its delivered but they look identical, there are a few taps on Ebay that look just like the ones the big sheds sell at a fraction of the price0
