Funding Masters

I've just been accepted on an MSc course at the same university where I'm currently doing my undergraduate degree.
I'm having trouble locating funding though, all the links I can find seem to be doing things the other way round - finding a funded masters place as opposed to what to do if you already have a university place. Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere I can apply to for funding?
Thanks for your help

Direct.gov.uk have advice on finding funding for PG study.
Though your best bet is to speak to your university department/ student services for advice as they're going to have lots of experience of students in your position.0 -
It really depends on the type of masters it is, and in what subject. Taught masters (with no intention of continuing to PhD level) have little funding. If it is vocational and/or is accredited by a professional body they may have some funding.
Your university should have details available of funding schemes such as departmental funds, university-wide funds, and charities. If these do not suit, then there is a fall back on either self-funding or a career development loan. I'd only recommend that if you think you will be able to secure a job straight after graduating, though.0 -
Getting accepted for a Master's course is meaningless, since such courses can be big money-spinners for the university. I strongly suggest that you look at funded courses and see if any of them would be suitable for you.
Does your university offer any scholarships for this kind of course?0 -
What is your career aim in doing a Masters degree?0

In the education section of The Sunday Times earlier this year (2-3 weeks ago??) the chap who answers questions referred someone to a whole handbook that has details of funding schemes. The letter in question was regarding 6th form funding, but the manual's name seemed to imply it was for higher education also. I assume you should be able to find the question and answer online, though I have been unable to.0
