Is it just the flexi hose thats got a leak? If so there should be an isolation valve where it connects to the mains. Switch it off!
Or, nip to any DIY/Plumbing/Probabily even comet etc.. and get a new hose.
Or, if its cold and hot fill then just swap the cold hose for the hot one and switch off the hot fill and run it as cold fill only for a day or so til you can replace the hose.0 -

You might want a mousetrap as well.
GSRAsk to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0 -
Yes it's just the blue flexi hose. I did turn it off when I discovered it first thing.
Thanks for mentioning the hot pipe. It's not in use therefore it's ok to use that for the cold water?
Thanks for your help!:TLess is more0 -

Yeah, no reason not to use that. Check the seals and quality of the pipe as older hoses can get a little knackered over time. If the hot seals are a little rubbish then you could swap them for the ones out of the cold hose. And obviously check for leaks when you turn it on
If you might have a little mouse (thinking of the shock it must have had with a water spray in its face lol) then its probabily worth getting a new hose set just incase. Or it might be leaking due to age rather than a mouse so definately have a spare hose!
If you can, try and keep it off the floor (maybe tie with string to the back of the machine?) so a mouse couldnt get it.0 -
Thank you both for your help!
Right now I'm more scared about the mouse!:o
Will get my son to check it when he gets back later!Less is more0 -
Yeah! You need to be really scared of the mouse. What is it, about a couple of grams in weight, it could take your leg off with no trouble at all.:DI can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
They might not weigh very much but they do have very sharp teeth……see numerous video clips of the approved veterinary method for dealing with it known as the “rodent flick”0
