MOT can you drive after a failure?

    So in conclusion the car would still be MOT'ed for 20 days the new test does not cancel out the old one.

    However remember it failed police can access the VOSA information as to why. You could face a fine and/or points for any defects.

    I've driven a MOT failure for about a week before getting it fixed and retested - never encountered any trouble.

    TBH the problem it failed for (and then passed) got much more serious a few weeks later so I was driving an even worse car with 11 months and 1 week MOT :shhh:
