I think that we'll have to add that as a paragraph in the FAQ's section, to offer vegetarian cheap alternatives to things. Even the second planner that we are referring to as the vegetarian planner will have some non-vegetarian things in it, it just won't have meat IYSWIM?:)
What do you all think?
So - this means that we would still have two mealplanners - but neither of them would be vegetarian then.......?
I presume Meal Plan 2 will have fish in then...
Umm.....<cough> - then have I this interpreted aright?
In that case - we might as well stick to only doing one Meal Plan then - ie the original one - and accept that its impossible to do a vegetarian Meal Plan for £100.
Presumably the reason we cant do a vegetarian Meal Plan after all is because of the Omega Oils - ie vegetarian sources of the Omegas are too expensive to fit within £100 a month no matter what we do to try to squeeze them in?
My suggestion as to the way forward then is:
1. Go ahead with the original Meal Planner.
2. Forget the whole idea of trying to fit a slightly different (but still not vegetarian) Meal Planner into £100. I personally regard it as pointless to have two Meal Planners - unless one of them is vegetarian. People might as well just stick to Meal Plan 1.
3. Once the original Meal Planner is ready - then do a vegetarian meal planner - accepting that it will be for more than £100 a month. As you like "extreme" figures Weezl:) - then set a hugely low figure of, say, £150 per month for the vegetarian Meal Planner - and it will still be EXTREMELY low indeed.
It has been a surprise to me to find that eating a vegetarian diet is coming over as more expensive than a meat diet - and, twist as we might, simply cannot be done for that £100. I would be personally disappointed not to have a vegetarian Meal Plan at all - so hope you might consider doing one later (with that higher budget that appears to be necessary to undertake this).
Even vegetarians can get into debt - <points finger at self>:o0 -

Sorry C I haven't been very clear have I!
Nope no fish, just that my thinking is that if Bob and shirley are only using meal planner 2 because they don't like battery eggs, then that doesn't meal they wouldn't want to lob, say a chicken stock cube into a soup, use suet or lard in pastry, use a cheese with non animal rennet, and so on.
These things are not hard to make substitutions for for real vegetarians, it's just that my understanding of the second family was that their main issue was no battery eggs and in order to achieve this, they were hapy to forgo their meat.
Does that make any sense?
I saw them as 'pragmatic almost completely vegetarians', rather than full on vegetarians.

Ah...I see ...methinks....
So - have I got this right now (maybe brain half-awaked)?
1. Meal plan 1 - the original
2. Meal plan 2 - the original plan adapted to those who wont eat battery eggs.
3. Meal plan 3 - a vegetarian one
???
Have I got it right now?......errr....and rather a lot of work for our Weezl.....0 -
