Weekend Sat/Sun 6th/7th Feb - What small DFW things will you do this weekend?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Good morning:j
Just in bed with laptop and a cuppa, brought to me by my youngest...lovely. I love Saturdays:)
I have to take girls to gym today then we're nipping into town so eldest can have her hair cut....she has pictured printed out to show the hairdresser;) Will have a little wander round the shops....girls still got their Xmas vouchers to spend. And I need to try and resist the lovely grey boyfriend cardi I eyed up in M+S last week. I would use it loads but I hate parting with cash now:rotfl:
Ok, list for today:

Morning!
Up bright and early - just back from walking the dog and its lovely, cold and crisp, sunny day here up north.
Hope everyone is doing OK? Had the first proper night's sleep in ages last night and feel much better today.
My list for today...- Checked banks
- Do big shop and attempt to stick to list
- Put dry washing away and wash the towels and dry naturally
- Walk dog x3 for free exercise
- Watch the Wales v England match later at home rather than go to the pub and spend dosh - Cymru am Byth!
- Clean bathrooms
- Have a nice bath and do a mini facial and a good old pamper
- Look at job application form and start filling it in

Word of advice. In future when sending ebay items and you do not use a tracked service. Just go into your po and ask for a free certificate of posting and then if the item is lost you can put a claim in. I do this all the time as I trade alot on Amazon.0 -

Thank you - I do have the certificate of posting just didn't know if it would help me reclaim? Will look into that - cheers:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Morning all,
This weekend I plan to:
- search ebay for cheap materials to make my wedding invites
- cook bulgar wheat porridge for breakfast and doing a bit of batch cooking (for tonight and one night next week)
- do some reviews/surveys
- clean the kitchen and bathroom till they shine!! Update - Not really got far with the cleaning (I guess there's always Sunday) but have done a lot more little DFW things than I planned:
- signed up for Lovefilm free trial via Quidco. Woo hoo. £15.
- got a better phone deal and signed up for online billing to save another £1.35
- not bought anything online (for wedding invites or otherwise) even though I saw a million things that I liked. :A Seeing cc#1 with zero balance helped keep up the motivation!
Irishmist - good luck with the interview. If you can get the book 'Great Answers for Tough Interview Questions' you should read it - really helped me through it!

Oh, I also plan to log into credit card account # 1 and see the £0.00 balance!0

Need to return a jumper that I bought as a Xmas pressie for Mum which is too big...nice refund there. Need moisturiser but hoping there might be some money off voucher in Boots (I try to buy one, pay for it, get a money off voucher then go and buy another one straight away
). WILL resist the lovely pair of tan boots I have been drooling over in Clarks.
On the downside....need to renew my passport so that's £70 spent.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
I will check my banking and go though my CD's and books for ones to sell.
After my Phil Vickery breakfast which is basically 1 portion of cold porridge, some muesli, third carton of natural yog all beaten together. Juice of half a lime and tbsp honey added and then blueberries. It's lush.
