Molly - a 1967 Morris 1000. I love her to bits but God knows what'll happen to her when I leave uni. :(

I'll do my best. Not sure how easy it is to look after a car in London though (which is where I'm hopefully heading). I might be sharing with a friend in Plumstead though, which is at least far enough out of the centre that I might actually be able to drive her.

Because they're classics. It's the rules. :D Also, for Morrises (or whatever the plural is), cars are girls and vans are boys. So my dad's girlfriend's Austin Morris is called Billy. I think the rules might be different for other makes though. :D Then again, my last car was called Chloe and she was a L reg Renault Cleo so maybe I'm just mad. :rotfl:
Edit - And I tried to name the hire car I had for all of two days once (a Fiat Punto) but couldn't come up with anything classy enough for an Italian bird. So yeah, I'm certifiable. :rotfl:

With VWs, generally, if the owner is male then the vehicle is a girl and vice-versa.
However, my Rover 100 ( metro ) get-me-to-work car gets called Purple Ronnie......cos its, you've guessed haven't you, purple! ( and rusty)

  • I never named any of my cars other since getting Charlie than the 'dog-mobile' or the 'charlie-mobile' but I've named my new car Thunder as the colour is Thunder Grey and I love the irony of it probably being the least thundering car ever - an automatic 3 door 1.5l Honda Civic!!! :rotfl:

i'm driving a Toyota Yaris X reg. Bought it Nov 08 when I completely trolleyed my Civic on the A19 flyover. I love it. It's small, reliable and it's all I need really. Didn't need the size of another Civic.

I've just picked up my sewing machine. Just had it's first 'service' in 25 years. I had told him the threads kept breaking. He's just told me I had the needle in the wrong way round. DOH

Not the scary flyover at Portrack lane:eek: I always have a fear of driving over there incase I crash and fly off down onto the railway below:o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
