Firstly my apologies if this is in the wrong forum
My daughter has an acer travelmate 2350 laptop pc which although is 6 years old or there about has not really been used. It works well and I have just restored it back to original condition. The problem is the cd/dvd drive, when it opens the red (eye) light is constantly on, and although the disc spins it does not recognise any cd or dvd. Is it possible to replace the drive unit? and will any laptop drive be ok or does it have to be a specific one?
cheers in advance
