Help desperately needed...

I've just accidently deleted a folder and because it was a large folder (had 2 seasons of SATC and a couple of movies) it got permanently deleted :(

Is there any way to retrieve it?

don't save anything to your pc you may overwrite what you have deleted, do you have access to another pc. Basically you need to download recovery software (but not to pc the deleted files are on) then connect your hard drive to the 2nd pc and recover files to that pc first then transfer to yours. You would connect your hard drive to the 2nd pc as slave or via USB hdd caddie. This is the way to give yourself the best chance of recovering those files.
  • I don't have access to another PC. Hubby has a laptop, but he's away on a course at the moment. Will give the recover programs a go.

you'll be lucky if you think you can run recovery software on same pc as files you want to recover, especially video files of that size, but good luck in your attempt.
